Car

Drive via the Brenner motorway to South Tyrol, take the exit Bozen South and drive onto the MeBo highway towards Meran. Leave the MeBo at the Meran-Center exit and follow the signs towards the center / Meran thermal baths.

Cross the post bridge to get to Freedom Street – the Restaurant Sigmund is located in the center of Meran.

Drive via the Reschenpass to South Tyrol, follow the Vinschgauer state road towards Meran and drive onto the MeBo. Take the exit Meran-Center and follow the route as described above.

We recommend entering "Postbrücke Meran" for navigation. From there, you can reach the restaurant in a few minutes on foot. As our guest, you have the right to cross the post bridge and drive into the pedestrian zone of Freedom Street.

TRAIN

From Austria, Germany or South Italy you travel by train to Bolzano and change there to the regional train to Meran. The journey takes about 45 minutes. From Meran train station you can reach the restaurant Sigmund in a few minutes on foot or by taxi. From Switzerland you take the SBB to Zernez and then the PostAuto AG bus over the Ofenpass to Mals. From there, the regional train takes you to Meran. You can find information on train connections online from the respective train providers.

BUS

With the South Tyrol bus you can get from Munich airport to Meran and back several times a day comfortably. The South Tyrol Express connects St. Gallen via Winterthur, Zurich and Sargans directly to Meran.
Also FlixBus offers cheap long-distance bus connections from cities like Berlin, Munich or Innsbruck to Meran.
All bus arrivals are located in the city center – the restaurant Sigmund is easily accessible from there.
